Foundation of JSC Gaso

The company was founded as a result of reorganisation, separating the activities of the natural gas distribution system from Latvijas Gāze. JSC Gaso is the only natural gas distribution system operator in Latvia, ensuring the supply of natural gas from the transmission system to end consumers. JSC Gaso ensures the development of the distribution infrastructure, the construction of natural gas connections, operation of the system and the accounting of natural gas, as well as the operation of the emergency service.

The Company was registered in the Commercial Register on 1 December, 2017. JSC Gaso is a 100% subsidiary of Latvijas Gāze, which in accordance with the requirements of the Energy Law operates independently from Latvijas Gāze. The status of the shares of Latvijas Gāze remained unchanged after the partition of JSC Gaso. The only difference is that after reorganisation, the shareholders of Latvijas Gāze have become the owners of the concern or indirect owners of JSC Gaso.

Foundation of JSC Conexus Baltic Grid

The company was founded as a result of reorganisation, separating natural gas transmission and storage activities from Latvijas Gāze. JSC Conexus Baltic Grid manages the Inčukalns underground gas storage and natural gas transmission system, which connects the Latvian natural gas market with Lithuania, Estonia and the northwest region of Russia.

The Company was registered in the Commercial Register on 2 January, 2017. JSC Conexus Baltic Grid is currently fully separated from Latvijas Gāze and is an independent company. All of the Latvijas Gāze shareholders, who, at the time of the reorganisation decision, were shareholders of Latvijas Gāze and who either applied for JSC Conexus Baltic Grid shares in writing or voted on the reorganisation of Latvijas Gāze at the shareholders' meeting on 2 September, 2016, became JSC Conexus Baltic Grid shareholders (maintaining the shares of Latvijas Gāze).

JSC Conexus Baltic Grid is a closed joint-stock company whose share ownership is registered in the shareholder register. The register of shareholders is managed by the Latvian Central Depository, which carries out the re-registration of shares and provides information and certificates on the shares held.
