
Inga Āboliņa Board member and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of JSC “Latvijas Gāze” has decided to leave the company as of August 12, 2022 due to personal reasons.

From 1 July 2022, the natural gas tariff for households purchasing natural gas at the regulated tariff will change for the next six months.

The 14th Baltic Gas Market Forum took place in Tallinn on 25 May this year, where participants reported on the latest developments in the Baltic and Finnish gas markets, talked about infrastructure development projects and shared information on the latest developments in the Baltic and Finnish natural gas markets.

With starting to sell larger volumes of gas outside Latvia in 2021, Latvijas Gāze enters the top of exporters for the first time and immediately reaches the top five.

The JSC “Latvijas Gāze” has a long-term agreement with the PJSC “Gazprom” on natural gas supplies in 2000-2030. So far, as stipulated by the agreement, payments for supplies have been made in the EUR currency.

In response to the publicly circulating information on Latvia’s intention to refuse imports of Russian-origin natural gas into Latvia as of January 1, 2023, the JSC “Latvijas Gāze” would like to highlight the need to observe the regional principle.
