The submission of indications depends on the annual consumption of natural gas and the installed meter (with DAILY or NON-DAILY record). However, if the meter has Telemetry installed, the readings do not need to be submitted. They are read automatically and you can find your readings on the "Gaso" AS E-portal.
Likewise, for the correct application of the excise tax rate, distribution by purpose of utilisation of the natural gas (if there are several) must be submitted. More information available here.
Non-Daily record
On the first working day of the following month
Annual consumption up to 25 000 m³
- On the customer portal of Latvijas Gāze
- On the E‑Portal of Gaso
- SMS to number 155
Annual consumption over 25,000 m³ up to 126,000 m³
- On the customer portal of Latvijas Gāze
- On the E‑Portal of Gaso
- SMS to number 155
Annual consumption over 126 000 m³ up to 1 million m³
Daily record
Regardless of annual consumption
Everyday consumption until the next day at 10:30**
Monthly actual consumption and meter readings must be reported on the first working day of the following month
Important to know!
- The procedure for the submission of meter readings is determined by the distribution system operator "Gaso" AS and can be found here.
- Meter readings must be submitted in cubic metres (m³). Meanwhile, payments are made following the consumption of natural gas in kilowatt-hours (kWh). Conversion from m³ to kWh is made using the formula: natural gas volume (m³) x calorific value = natural gas volume (kWh)
- The calorific value is the amount of heat that can be obtained by fully burning one cubic metre of gas. The amount of natural gas per cubic metre may vary. It depends both on the temperature of the natural gas and on the pressure, therefore special devices are installed throughout the territory of Latvia - chromatographs, that measure the calorific value in each zone (siltumspēju zonas).
You can find out the calorific area of the property in the client portal.
* If the report is not submitted, the user has an obligation to submit a delivery receipt document (Dabasgāzes piegādes-saņemšanas akts). agreed with the Gaso by the 1st working day of the following month.
** If the annual consumption is up to 1 million m³, then Gaso can impose an obligation to report daily consumption, as daily consumption varies by more than 20%.
