New website for customers in Finland

At the beginning of 2020 Latvijas Gāze began trading natural gas to companies in Finland. For the convenience of Finnish customers, a new website has been created to provide simple and accessible information on current offers.

In 2020, Latvijas Gāze sales outside Latvia reached 28%. Comparing the first six months of last year with the corresponding period this year, the number of foreign sales has increased by 38%. In the first six months of this year, Latvijas Gāze has sold 7,437 GWh of natural gas to customers in Latvia and abroad, and natural gas sold abroad accounted for 37% of the total sales.

Latvijas Gāze is one of the leaders in the energy sector in the Baltic region, and foreign sales of natural gas account for a significant share of our total natural gas sales. The launch of Baltic Connector at the beginning of last year also contributed to it. We highly value the co-operation with our customers in Finland, so creating a new website with information in Finnish and Swedish was a logical step by taking care of our customers in this country by making up-to-date information easily accessible”, explained Jānis Kalējs, Vice-President of Wholesale.
