The JSC “Latvijas Gāze” has a long-term agreement with the PJSC “Gazprom” on natural gas supplies in 2000-2030. So far, as stipulated by the agreement, payments for supplies have been made in the EUR currency.
At a time when various fraudsters and disseminators of questionable information are active, we ask you to think carefully about who you provide your personal and financial information to, whom you transfer money to, and what you publish on various social networking sites. The customers of Latvijas Gāze have also encountered fraudulent cases when fake bills are sent on behalf of Latvijas Gāze. Therefore, we urge you to be careful and not get scammed.
Sometimes, servicing and maintenance of the natural gas infrastructure requires specialists to enter a household or yard to take care of the maintenance of the natural gas supply network and to read meter readings.
To avoid sudden problems with the amount of the current bill, we invite you to conclude a natural gas trade contract as soon as possible, if it has not been done at the object so far, and you will receive natural gas within the framework of Final Guaranteed Supply (FGS). For FGS users who have not signed a contract within 6 months, the price of natural gas will be 2x higher.
Against the background of the geopolitical situation and its substantial impact on the natural gas market, the April natural gas price in Europe is currently forecast at around 250-300 EUR/MWh.
In the wake of the energy crisis across Europe, the government has decided to compensate for the increase in the price of natural gas for citizens with annual natural gas consumption above 250 m3. Compensation will be applied for the period from January to the end of April 2022. Households do not need to apply for state aid; the reduced fee will be included in the billing documents automatically in accordance with the amount determined by the state.
