At the 19 December 2023 meeting of the Council of the Public Utilities Commission, new tariffs for natural gas distribution system services for the tariff period from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024 were approved. The tariffs will enter into force on 1 January 2024 and will be visible in the bills received in February 2024 for natural gas consumed in January. The fixed payment and the variable part, depending on the consumption of natural gas, of the new distribution operator Gaso, will be shown in the bill details.
After the end of the calendar year, the distribution system operator Gaso recalculates the tariffs for the previous year.

On November 24, 2023, AS “Latvijas Gāze” received statements of resignation by Council members N. Merigo Cook, H.-P. Floren and Ē. Atvars due to the successful completion of the transaction whereby the Luxembourg investment fund “Marguerite Gas II S.À.R.L” sold its 28.97% of the Company’s shares to SIA “Energy Investments” as part of a management buy-out.
In 2023, in the Top 101 of Latvia’s Most Valuable Enterprises, jointly created by financial services company Prudentia and Nasdaq Riga, Latvijas Gāze was recognised as a leader in its sector, taking 2nd place, and was ranked the 16th most valuable enterprise in Latvia, ranking four places higher than in 2022.
