ADDED! Updated information for existing Balanced Payment customers regarding switching to monthly bills

The change in the type of settlement will take place automatically and gradually, but the Balanced payment can be used until 31 March 2023, by filling out an application to keep it.

As the expected changes will affect a large part of our customers, and the state aid for natural gas payments must be applied to a certain range of customers, the change of payment method will take place gradually until the end of the year.

In September, the payment method was changed for customers who qualify for state aid and for customers whose reporting period ended in August.

In September, we sent these customers the final natural gas consumption report for the previous period and information on the possibilities of maintaining the Balanced payment. In October (10th to 15th), we will send the first monthly invoice to customers.

In October , we will change the billing method for customers whose natural gas use is mainly for cooking and have received billing documents by e-mail so far, as well as for customers whose reporting period ends in September.

In the middle of September, customers received an invitation to report the meter reading and information on the possibilities of keeping the Balanced payment. In October, we will send the final natural gas consumption report for the previous period. Starting from November (10th to 15th), customers will receive their first monthly invoice.

In November , we will change the payment method for customers, who use natural gas mainly for cooking and who have been receiving their payment documents by mail until now.

In the middle of October, customers will receive an invitation to report the meter reading and information about the possibilities of keeping the Balanced payment. In November, customers will receive the final natural gas consumption report for the previous period. In December, customers will receive the first monthly bill for the natural gas consumed in November.

We invite customers to follow the information that we will send to each customer of the Balanced payment, as well as current information on our website and customer portal.

What should be taken into account?

About reporting the meter readings:

  • In order to reduce the possibility of forming of a difference and for the calculation to correspond to the actual consumption, we invite you to follow the consumption data and, if necessary, to report the readings every month, even if the natural gas has not been consumed.
  • The reporting period for meter readings is from the 27th date to the 1st working day of the following month (inclusive).
  • In order not to miss the moment of meter reporting, we will send a reminder by e-mail. Reminders will no longer be sent by mail.
  • If you do not report the reading, we will issue an invoice based on the consumption calculated by Gaso.
  • Meter reading reporting options have not changed.

About receiving the invoice:

  • You will receive an invoice every month from the 10th to the 15th date.
  • You will be able to receive the invoice in the usual way – in the customer portal, by e-mail or by post.
  • It is possible to receive an invoice FREE of charge by e-mail, which we invite you to apply for in the customer portal.
  • Receipt of invoice by mail - according to the price list published on the website.

About the application to keep the Balanced payment:

  • The application must be submitted within 30 days from the date of creation of the letter (about changing the payment method and options for keeping the Balanced Payment).
  • After this deadline, the payment method cannot be changed.
  • The application can be completed and submitted electronically here or by calling customer service on 67 869 866 (on working days from 8:00 to 18:00).
  • Applications are not accepted in other communication channels.
  • All overdue payment obligations must be fulfilled.
  • In the case of a positive decision, we will determine the Balanced payment according to the current tariffs and until 31.03.2023 the payment amount will not change. This means that when receiving the final annual report in April next year, there is a risk of receiving a large amount for payment, as the new tariffs will come into effect on 1 January, the amount of which cannot be predicted at the moment. The amount of the recalculation indicated in the final statement will have to be paid within a couple of weeks.
  • For customers who qualify for the aid, the Balanced Payment will be determined according to current tariffs, without state aid. However, customers can be sure that they will receive the granted aid in full, because when making the recalculation in April 2023, we will take into account the actual consumption by month and the tariffs of the relevant period, with a reduced price of natural gas. Therefore, the state aid will be applied according to the actual monthly consumption.
  • ADDED: When determining the new Balanced Payment, the forecasted average monthly consumption will be calculated according to the type of natural gas used. For customers who use natural gas FOR HEATING, the annual consumption will be divided by the number of months remaining until 31.03.2023, as the Balanced Payment period falls in the winter months and can no longer be balanced on an annual basis. Thus, the predicted average consumption during the winter months will be similar to the actual consumption of customers. For customers who use natural gas FOR COOKING, the annual consumption will be divided by 12, as the consumption does not change significantly depending on the seasons.

Switching to monthly billing has several advantages:

  • Possibility to receive a settlement document every month, as a reminder of the payment to be made, clearly seeing how much is to be paid in the relevant month.
  • Possibility to clearly see the amount of state aid granted in the current month.
  • Reducing energy consumption at home not only helps reduce energy bills, but also reduces your carbon footprint. By monitoring the amount of energy you use each month, you can take steps to increase energy efficiency and lower your bill.
